REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a relaxing hands-on therapy that combines massage with acupressure. It stimulates organs, glands and body systems by applying varying levels of pressure and massage to bare feet, hands or ears at points where neural pathways pass close to the skin. Stimulation of neural pathways induces the release of neuro-peptides which dampen pain and regulate body systems. Although treatment is focused on the extremities, the whole body is affected.
Reflexology improves circulation, releases tension, pain and congestion throughout the body, normalizes organ function, releases metabolic toxins and lactic acid residues, and breaks up gritty salt deposits under the soles that cause discomfort when walking.
There are no contra-indications and some benefit is always achieved.
